Dear Hiring Manager,
After a lifetime of loving the art of marketing, I am excited to continue my career as a marketing professional. In 2017, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from California State University: Long Beach. In 2018, I moved to Barcelona, Spain and began my role as worldwide product manager at HP Inc. I am now moving back to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of working in marketing. The knowledge I have of technology, my education, and previous product management and marketing experience make me the ideal candidate for any marketing position.
During my time at HP, I have developed an expert understanding of the portfolio of 32 PageWide XL Printer products that I manage. I have kept track of different segmentations, value propositions and product features, while maintaining a consistent brand message throughout the portfolio. Within a fast-paced technology environment, I have performed a variety of tasks to support the success of my portfolio. For example, I redesigned the PageWide XL Virtual Demo App by designing new user interfaces and creating content relevant for end customers and salespeople. Furthermore, I led our effort to migrate and adapt our cloud-based printing platform from another business within HP to my portfolio. I saw an opportunity to provide premium functionalities that were previously not available to our market, even from competitors.
I have strong interpersonal and communication skills and am able to effectively present information across different mediums. I regularly present details of new product functionalities to international teams through well-crafted PowerPoint presentations and adapt my product strategy based on geographical needs. Additionally, using my ability to organize and deliver information, I was able to create an entire 10 lesson interactive and visual course that provides end-to-end tutorials and details of printer functionalities. These are shown to every customer who purchases these printers.
Due to my global role, I have interacted with customers, partner organizations and cross-functional teams with a variety of backgrounds and expertise. I have worked with people across North America, Europe and Asia and witnessed different cultures interact with technology. While managing an international client beta test in London, United Kingdom over the course of six months, I built a relationship with a key customer through workplace visits and weekly calls. I was also able to transform their feedback into tangible features to be implemented within my product portfolio. In 2017, I also studied abroad in the Netherlands, gaining insight into international business and marketing practices.
I am the confident, creative and passionate candidate that your company is looking for and my experience has well prepared me for any role. I would be pleased to meet with a representative to further discuss my application, and can be reached to set up a remote interview at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at +34 623 183 965. Thank you for your consideration.
