My 21-year career at Brierley+Partners started in 1998 as a Sr. Production Artist with the in-house Studio. I was later promoted to Assistant Studio Manager, then to Director, Digital Operations in 2009.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In my role, I was responsible for managing Brierley’s in-house Studio operation. This entailed managing a team of Production Artists as well as freelance resources to deliver flawless production art files, mock-ups, digital assets and video production. It was also my responsibility to research and implement systems, processes and protocols for streamlining workflows and driving production efficiencies.
In addition to my management role, I was hands-on in the day-to-day output from the Studio. Leveraging my diverse skill sets and software application proficiency I was able to support the Creative team across varied channels, formats and deliverables.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
COMPANY REBRANDING: In close collaboration with the Creative and New Business teams, I helped develop the digital assets and final production files for the company’s rebranding in early 2020. This included a full suite of omnichannel communications: capabilities brochures, emails, website assets, product demo digital assets, new business videos, animations, trade show booths and sales materials.
ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Implemented and maintained an asset management system for the Creative department. Developed system requirements and researched solutions to enable tracking of assets and usage rights. Successfully installed Canto Cumulus image database, which housed all client assets, associated usage rights and job history. This eliminated file redundancy and ensured all usage rights were up to date. The system also provided a single source from which all Creative team members could access files. The database housed over 50,000 assets and images. In late 2019, oversaw the transition from Canto Cumulus to a more cost-effective solution: Extensis Portfolio.
DIGITAL WORKFLOW TRANSFORMATION: In conjunction with our IT team, as well as Project Management, helped develop systems and processes to transition from a paper-based, manual workflow to a fully digital workflow using Jira and Box. Developed the specific workflows and documentation impacting Creative and the Studio and corporate-wide training for successful implementation.Hired as Asst. Studio Manager and promoted to run the production art studio. Managed production for client print, email and web work and for Brierley corporate marketing materials, branding, website, and trade show materials and videos. Helped drive initiatives to update production studio and improve productivity. Oversaw Cumulus customization to adapt to our needs and workflow.
