Description
I’m a recent graduate of Tulane University with a strong background in communications in addition to my bachelor’s degree in music, and I’m well-versed in small-scale social media campaigns, content creation and analytics, which I’ve primarily applied in recent years to build an online audience for my own music. This has given me a good working knowledge of how to create content for and advertise via a range of current social media including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and most recently TikTok. I’ve also spent time working as a writer and editor for Tulane’s student newspaper The Hullabaloo, so I’m familiar with creating written content for digital newspaper, blog, and online newsletter formats.
As you’ll see on my resume, much of my recent work experience in New Orleans is in the restaurant industry, but I’m hoping to shift my focus to a field where I can work remotely if possible while further developing my skills in social media, content creation, and writing. I’m a motivated, self-starting worker, able to adapt my skills to new situations, provide quick turnarounds on projects and build a good rapport with clients or creative partners. In addition my time working in the restaurant industry has made me cool under pressure or high work volume, attentive to small details, and receptive to critique.
I’m currently in the process of completing an online specialization in Social Media Marketing via Northwestern University and I’m looking forward to gaining experience working on a variety of real-life projects and campaigns. In addition, I am proficient in a variety of video, audio, and graphic editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Studio One 3, ProTools, GIMP, and Photoshop, and I would be able to easily learn any specific software necessary for the position.
