Description
As a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Communication and Global Studies an ideal position would provide me with a hands-on work environment, the ability to put my ideas into practice, and the opportunity to hone my skills.
As an exchange student at King’s College London, I focused my coursework on business taking courses in both marketing communications and digital marketing specifically. Collaborating with multiple groups to create marketing briefs and campaigns, I have gained experience in real-world problem solving, intercultural communication, and establishing clear and relevant communication channels for target markets.
After being hired as the primary writer for the NW Vibe, a blog for the Los Angeles-based clothing company Naked Wardrobe, I have become well-versed in online content creation, integrating brand personality in my writing. Not only have I gained experience producing content, but I have also learned to work with a well-established company and in a competitive and professional environment.
My experience as a writer was developed while I served as an Editorial Intern for UCSB’s Her Campus chapter, an online writing platform for college women, fostering my ability to pitch stories, meet deadlines and collaborate on an editorial team.
I have also held multiple marketing positions, most recently an internship at the Los Angeles-based technology startup, StoryPlace. Additionally, I was appointed as the marketing team leader for the UC Santa Barbara Education Abroad Program. In both positions mentioned, I worked in social media marketing by curating and creating content for multiple social media channels. These positions also highlight my collaborative skills, working with teams to establish effective marketing tactics for greater engagement of their respective audiences.
